More Scrap busting with the color wheel and the Ultimate 3 in 1 tool. Getting everything into plastic bags according to the 24 colors on the wheel will make them very easy to play with in my projects. I Love the Ultimate 3 in 1 tool which is by Joen Wolfram. Anything she does is amazing.
My scrap bin was so full I could not put another scrap in. So time to do the chore I have put off for years. Pull it all out and make a plan of attack. I decided to use my color wheel to help organize and then use my Accuquilt go cutter to cut usable shapes. It ended up being a fun project instead of a chore. I am looking forward to the quilt(s) that come from my newly cut shapes! I hope you enjoy the video and get inspired to dive into your scrap bin.
In this last of 4 videos, I take all of the elements and actually create the labels using the BERNINA V8 software. Lettering, Break apart, color re-sequence, and many more tools are used. Thanks for watching!
Here is the 3rd video where I am showing you how to digitize from a photo of fabric.
BERNINA V8 software. Here is the second session working on digitizing a label from a photo pf fabric. I use und, zoom to fit, the knife tool, blackwork run, object properties, break apart and hide others. Let me know if you find this helpful!
Here is a new video where I digitize an embroidery design from a photo of fabric and make a label to use on a backpack. I show you how to use the knife tool, outline tool, closed object, ellipse tool, rectangle tool, remove overlaps, outline tool, color film, sequence by number and much more! This is the first of two videos.
Here is a little video showing how to get a perfectly pressed pinwheel block. The trick is the spin the seams in opposite directions on the back. Very easy and if you have quilted very long it is not a new trick for you but for those just starting is is a very important trick to learn.
Here is a great trick to join long/ large pieces of batting to use in quilts. Painters tape to the rescue…..again!
